OUTDATED! Hattrick Organizer 1.0 - Instructions OUTDATED!

Installation

Prior to installing HO!, you have to make sure the Java Runtime Environement 1.4.1 or higher is installed on your computer.
When it is, unzip the HO-Zip-File into a directory of your choice (which you need to create first). Warning: This Directory may not contain any special characters, e.g. '!'. Please note, that HO! will create an additional subdirectory "db" when first run.

To run HO! simply double-click the file "hocoded.jar" on Windows or use one of the scripts (e.g. ho.bat on Windows, HO.sh on Linux, etc.)

Update from HO! RC1 to HO! 1.0
Install HO! as described above, then copy the subdirectoy "db" from your old HO!-Version (RC1) into the directory of the new HO!-Version. That way you ensure your old stettings as well as imported HRF-files will still be known.

Menue

The menue is divided into three main menues:

File

HRF Download
Use this to download current HRF-Files directly from Hattrick. There must be an active Internet-connection for this to work. If you're going online by modem, the connection must be set as the standard-connection in Windows' TCP/IP-settings.

After choosing the menue, you will be asked for your Hattrick-username and password. If your computer accesses the web through a proxy-server you can configure that here as well. In most cases, no proxy-server is needed.
When the file is downloaded you need to choose where to place the HRF-file on your local computer. The information is then available in HO!

HRF Import
If you already saved some HRF-files to your harddisk you can choose to import them into HO! as well. Choose the proper directory in the dialog and mark all HRF-files you want to import. The files will be imported in the order they were marked. Therefore you should mark the oldest HRF-file first, the newest one last. You will then see the contents of the last imported HRF-file, while the others are used for statistics.

Options
Using the Options-Menu you're able to configure HO! to a certain grade

Miscellaneous

TransferBell
- At what number of minutes to a deadline the alarm should go off
Minimum BestPos
- How strong a player needs to be on his best position so he'll be placed by the "e;Idealposition first"-function
Fontsize
- The size of fonts HO! uses (a restart of HO! is needed for this to take effect)
Languagefile
- Which language-file (properties-file in the subdirectory "e;sprache") should be used (restart needed for changes to take effect)
Currencyfactor
- The currency your team uses. This is only used to display the correct financial values. The formatting is based on the country-selection in your operating system.

Formulas

Here you can choose how much importance is given to the individual abilitys for each position. Only form is considered to be a factor for all positions.

Training

The basic value to decided how long training for a certain ability takes can be chosen here.
Additionally you can choose factors for the age of players, the trainers abilities, the numbers of Co-Trainers and training intensity. The higher these values are chosen, the longer training will take.
Exit Exits HO! (Who guessed?)

HOFriendly

A HOFriendly is a friendly apart from Hattrick but using the same team. You can play as many games as you'd like to, without running into danger of hurting a player. Besides, it's also possible to lineup injured or suspended players.

IP-address
To find out what IP-address your computer is using (so you can start a HOFriendly) you can use this link. Your Browser will be opened and a page will be displayed that contains several links to sites that show you your current IP-address. This IP is needed by a client to reach your Server.

about

Here you can find links to Hattrick, our Homepage and our forum. The chosen site will be displayed in your browser.
And then, of course, there are the credits of the programmers et al.

PlayerSquad

The PlayerSquad tab is used to get an overview about your team.

Playertable

The playertable shows your players along with their most important skills. If you select a player in the table, his skills will be shown in the PlayerDetails and the Manipulator as well.

PlayerDetails

If you selected a player in the table, his skills will be shown here. You can make notes about the selected player in the text-field at the bottom

Manipulator

Here, the skills of the selected player are shown. You can change these skills at will, e.g. to find out how good the player would perform, if only his form was somewhat better or when he'll be rising a level in the next training.

HRF-History

All imported or downloaded HRF-files are in this list. The present HRF is the uppermost. You can have a quick look at changes over time, by selecting one of the older HRFs, after which changes will be marked besides the present values of the player. Therefore it's pretty easy to have a certain control over training effects and form changes.

Lineup

It's easy to optimize your lineups using HO!'s lineup-assistant

Lineup

Here you'll see the present lineup and are able to manipulate it by choosing different players for individual positions and changing their tatics - just as in Hattrick. Next to the player is a icon, which shows his speciality. If a weather is choosen in the lineup-assistent there may appear an other icon, which shows you, if the weather is good for that player or if it works against him.

Assistant

HO!'s lineup-assistant helps finding an optimized lineup through it's automatics. However, be aware that there is no such thing as the perfect lineup, since there are way too many factors that need to be concerened, e.g. the opponent's tactics. Besides that, the assistant doesn't change your tactics. Therefore, the following steps make sense:
  1. Empty the currenty lineup
  2. Change the weather, if you want the weather to effect the linup-assistent
  3. Choose the squad you want to use
  4. Change the tactics as wanted, e.g. to 3-5-2
  5. Manually place players you want to have at a certain position
  6. Deactivate players you don't want to play by means of the "AutoLineup"field in the talbe at the bottom
  7. Configure the assistant:
  8. Finally, click on "Start Assistant", all free positions will be filled then (given there are enough players, of course)
You can also see the ideal list of penalty shoot takers here.

LineupDetails

Here you can see how strong you are in the individual positions and what system you're using.

PlayerTable

This table gives a quick overview about your players, without the need to change into the Player Squad. It's also used to configure the Lineup assistant by means of (de)marking the AutoLineup field.

Save / Restore

It's possible to save the present lineup here, either to restore them later or to compare the LineupDetails of different lineups.

Mark the Entry "Actual Lineup" to show the lineup given in the HRF-file. If you change the lineup now, the scores in the LinupDetails will change as well, giving you the value of changes in different parts. The comparsions are always done between the lineup that is shown and the one that is marked in the list.
To restore a save lineup, chose it from the list, then click on "Show Lineup". The name of the marked lineup will change to blue and the lineup is shown.

Transferscout

The transferscount helps buying new players, by showing their strenghts and by providing an alarm-clock so you don't miss deadlines.

Transfertable

All players you entered into the scout are shown here. If you mark a player in the table, his skills will be shoen in the administration part, where they can by manipulated as well.

Administration

Here you can enter the most important values of a player and insert him into the transfertable. The date you enter for the deadline is important for the alarm to work correctly. It will go off a few minutes before the deadline by means of a small window. You can change the number of minutes in the options. If you don't want to use the alarm, just set it to a date in the past.
To delete an entry from the transfertable mark it, then click "e;remove list item".

We recommend to use the Mini-Scout if you'd like to take over values from Hattrick. It's clearly smaller than the main HO!-window, which makes it easier to fill in the values.

Arenasizer

The ArenaSizer helps building your Arena to size.

Actual Arena

On the right hand side the present state of your arena is shown. Closeby you see how many spectators you'll probably have, depending on your fans mood and how well your team performs. What isn't included into these calculations see is the weather-factor as well as the opponent (and his fans), since those change from game to game.

Proposed Arena

Now it's possible to build your arena to the ideal size, considering how many fans more you could possibly have, etc. Another way to do it, is to simply say how many spectators should find space. HO! then calculates the best number of seats in each category automatically.

Training

The training assistant shows you, how many weeks a player will need, given the cicumstances, to raise a whole skill. Effectively this can be faster, if the player has been trained already. By manipulating the number of coach assistants, training intensity or the abilities of your coach you're also able to see whether it would help to hire additional assistant coaches, or maybe wouldn't matter to fire some.

Training2 shows you the date, when your player gets his last levelup in a skill. If a player has no levelup since you have him in your team, the date of the first HRF with that player is shown in gray.

Misc

Here you'll find a lot of informations about your team, e.g. your position in the leauge and how well you perform economically.

Statistics

If you wish to see how a certain players abilities changed over time, you'll be able to do that here. Choose which player you want to supervize, then how many HRF-files you want to be taken into account.
To read the diagramms more easily you can switch on and off inidividual skills, inscriptions and helping lines.
